New Year’s resolution: A fresh start to a new beginning

Every New Year is a start to a new beginning, a new will to live. The past year comes to an end with many memories that were either sweet or bitter, moments in life that were filled with either joy or sorrow, funny or embarrassing situations and with an array of many different emotions that one goes through all throughout the year.
A whole year of many mixed events ends, taking memories along with it.
New people that we meet or the ones that go away from our lives and the several new events that we experience, all of these things serve many lessons that we can learn from.
Now as the New Year approaches, many people celebrate it with a lot of passion and excitement, but they do not have any goals or plans for the coming year. They do not have a positive mindset rather they plan to treat the coming year just like the previous one with no improvement in anything. Surely, you would not like to be like such people.
So what can you do to change yourself for the better? How can you welcome this New Year with positivity? Have a good look at the tips below to change your mindset for the better and to welcome this coming year with full spirit:
Set goals:
Setting goals should be your utmost priority. Goals that are set can include many things that can benefit you, as it knows no boundaries. Some goals you can set regardless of age and gender that are beneficial for your educational/ working life and your health are stated below
Wake up early
Waking up early in the morning can be extremely beneficial for your health as it can improve you mental health, make your skin healthier and keeps you energetic throughout the day. This should be a goal you should set at any cost. So wake up with sunrise, have a healthy breakfast, do some exercise/workout and you are ready for the day!
Physical activity
To keep your body fit and healthy, doing any kind of physical activity is a must. For that, you need to set a target weight goal that you want to achieve and To achieve it you have to do physical activity like exercise/ workout at the gym or at home. Aside from your weight goal, you should also try activities that overall keep the body fit and active. For that, you can go for a jog or on long walks and do hiking too.
Healthy lifestyle
A healthy life style is the key to a long life. To maintain a healthy lifestyle you need to eat healthy food.
Eat food that is rich in protein, fiber, vitamins and other nutrients for a healthy body, and incorporate more vegetables/ fruits in your diet.
Try to eat less junk food and carbs, as they are harmful to health.
Take balanced diet and do not develop unhealthy eating habits.
Prepare to become a healthy person, ready to face any challenges throughout the year with a strong body.
Goal to get good grades
If you are a studying then your utmost goal might be to get good grades. Many students struggle with getting good grades and want to become smarter academically but they do not know how to do it. Are you one of these students? Then these tips are for you.
- Set a target grade or marks that you want to get. Start small by getting average grades then gradually you will see a change in them as you aim for higher and higher grades every time and eventually you will achieve your set goal.
- Manage your study schedule. Fix a timetable in those hours of the day when you feel like your mind is fresh. The timetable should include some time to relax and rest so that you do not get overwhelmed.
- Listen and participate in class. Take notes throughout the lecture and do not hesitate to ask the teacher anything that you don’t understand
- Do group study with your friends. Studying with your peers can be a fun experience and will make studying more enjoyable.
Goals for your career
Doing better in his or her careers or work field is something every person wants. To do that you need to set goals for it too. If you are an employee then aim for promotion. Work harder and prove yourself to your boss, keep a good attitude with your co-workers. Learn new skills that can help you in your job. If you are, a business owner then set goals for a successful business. Invest and buy stocks when the market for these things is at its highs. Do not get disappointed when you suffer any loss, instead aim for a better result in the future. Keep your business clean and free from anything immoral. Aim for higher goals to achieve the best in your business this year!

Spend time with family
Spend time with your family and friends. Workload and responsibilities keep us so busy that we find it hard to make time for our loved ones. Still taking some time off from all this to spend with them is necessary. Plan movie nights, go camping, go on long trips, and do other fun activities with them.
Self-care
Take care of yourself and look after your mental health. To do this you should consider doing meditation or yoga, connect to nature and do anything that eases your mind. Look after your overall physical health too. Remember, if you do not take care of yourself then you will not be able to take care of anything else either.
Do the things you love
Do the things you love. Take some time off from everything and do activities you find interesting. Be it going on a vacation or doing your favorite hobbies, do everything you find joy in.
Every year is a new chance to life, a new will to live. It is a blessing in disguise that we take for granted. We do not realize the fact that getting to see a new year and the things we look forward to in that are blessings from Allah and we should be grateful it. This new chance at life should be celebrated with full spirit and positivity. So set the above-mentioned goals, look after your loved ones and friends, appreciate everything you have and most importantly, do not forget to love yourself.
